Forty people have so far accepted the invitation to BATA's Annual General Meeting. If you would like to attend please let me know.
The Venue is Barclays Bank, 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HP. The date is Thursday February 9 between 11.00 and 1.00.
We are very fortunate to have two exciting speakers this year: Hector Minto, Microsoft’s recently appointed Senior Technology Evangelist (Accessibility), and Graeme Whippy MBE, consultant to Channel 4 and award-winning former head of Lloyds Group Disability Programme. Their talks will be followed by a buffet lunch, courtesy of our hosts Barclays.
The AGM also provides an opportunity to hear about BATA's achievements in 2016, to set new directions for 2017, and to engage with Council members on key issues affecting assistive technology.
Each year the three longest serving full members of Council stand down, which gives others the opportunity to join the Council either as a full member (director) or a co-opted member. If you are interested in standing as a Council member please contact John Lamb, acting secretary, at email@example.com for more details. Members may submit resolutions to be considered at the AGM as outlined in the Articles (see link here).
If you are planning to come to the AGM please could you let me know as soon as possible?
