BATA Stratford Stroll

30 June 2019

We did it! We did the 20 miles. The walkers were:-

Rick Bell from TextHelp

Carolyne Smith from Sight and Sound

Sophie Jones from Wyvern

Andy Price from Wyvern

Sarah-Jane Peake from Launchpad

Myles Pilling from AccesAbility Solutions

A BIG thanks to all of them and to Cath Pilling who drove to meet us , carry our bags and return us to the start point or take us to the station.

Myles managed 11 miles and Sophie  managed all but the last few miles. It was hot, beautiful, and painful with blisters, swollen hands ( due to the heat) and aching limbs but the intrepid team completed the challenge. Here are some images from the day . In 30 degrees the team did amazing and BATA thanks them for their efforts which so far has raised over £5,575. We still need to get to £8,000 so please continue to give on our Just Giving page. It's still open till the end of July so please continue to give so that we hit our target.  Thank You!

The Finish Line! A well-earned COOL drink for the team

The start line at the Bluebell Inn 20 miles from Stratford

Re-hydrating BATA style at the Fleur De Lys, Lowensford 7 miles into the walk

By one of the locks as Carolyne encourages Myles to continue ! " Couldn't have done without your encouragement- You're a Star" Myles said.
